Stroller Fitness Classes
- Will I really get a good workout during a Stroller Fitness class? Yes, it is a total body workout with a concentration on the trouble areas for most moms. We do cardiovascular exercises, strenght training, kickboxing, yoga poses, and much more. We are always adding new exercises to our workouts so that you will be challenged and never get bored with the same old workouts.
- What will I do if my child doesn't cooperate during a Stroller Fitness class? One advantage to working out with other moms is that we understand that your child comes first. You can step to the side and tend to your child and an instructor can suggest a few moves that you can do while calming your little one down.
- If I can't attend a Stroller Fitness class, do I still have to pay for it? You will never pay for a class you do not attend. That is what sets The Mommy Movement apart from other groups. We understand that things come up and schedules change and we don't feel that you should have to pay for classes that you can't participate in.
- I don't have a jogging stroller, can I still do Stroller Fitness? It is important for you to feel comfortable with the stroller you work out with. We suggest that you try to lightly jog with your stroller before class. Most standard size strollers can handle paved trails and grassy terrain.
- I have a double stroller, can I use it for Stroller Fitness? Yes you can. Again, we suggest that you try to lightly jog with your stroller before class just so you know what to expect.
- I'm not in great shape. Is Stroller Fitness going to be too difficult for me? The path to your fitness goals has to start somewhere! At The Mommy Movement we welcome all fitness levels. Most of our exercises can be modified in order to fit your needs. The Mommy Movement is an intimidation free atmosphere. What is important is that you pay attention to your own body's cues and get the best workout you can. We do suggest that every member attend at least 2 classes a week so you will see results and be able to keep up with our increasing in intensity classes.
- What happens if the weather is not good on the day of a Stroller Fitness class? The home page has an updated banner above the weather forecast that will tell you where class will be held. During inclement weather, we will hold class at 9am on the upper level of Mid Rivers Mall. We will meet in front of Max & Ermas. Evening classes will be canceled in any inclement weather.
- My friend wants to try Stroller Fitness before committing to a package. What should she do? If she would like to try a class before buying a full package, she can buy a $5 one class card. If she then enjoys the class and decides to buy a package, you and her will receive a free class as a referral bonus.
- How can I become a TMM stroller fitness instructor in my area? If you are interested in leading moms to fitness, please contact us and we would be happy to help you become a TMM instructor.
